These two pictures are a couple of the reasons I love my parents house. They have fresh strawberries that are just supper yummy. A camp fire that's perfect for roasting marshmellows or hot dogs. We only made s'mores last night but they were so good. By July we'll have cherries and blueberries to add to the strawberries. It's so nice to have all the fresh fruit around.

I am loving these sets! Please tell me you've seen them. Each set comes with different shapes, alphabets, and a tote bag. The coolest thing...the dies are on colored plates!!!! I'm so in LOVE!!!

Quickutz Copmetition

So, I don't know if everyone knows or not but I'm on a DT at Cropstop.com, Haylie-Jo asked me to become her Quickutz specialist. I'm loving it! For the next two weeks I've got a small competition going on in their message board. Check it out, join the group and enter the competition.

The compeitition is a create your own shapes using your exsisting QK's. The most innovative and unquie will win. My example is at the top. So head on over and join in the fun!!

SNOW DAY!!

Well, we finally got some snow. Of course it was on Monday, not the weekend so we couldn't enjoy it. I took a few pics just to document that it does snow in Virginia Beach. I had no idea that there was even a chance of snow last night. It was a nice surprise to wake up to it.

Putt Putt Princess

Yesterday I took Audrey to a friend's birthday party and it was putt putt. She loved it!! She was just having a good ole time playing. "I want to Golf," that's what she said to me. The kids got unlimited rounds of putt putt. It was indoor so the course was smaller; it was perfect for the little ones. Here's a pic of her making it in!!

I am so looking forward to this weekend. I'm going out with a bunch of my girlfriends to celebrate Jenn R's b-day. Mani's and Pedi's tomorrow afternoon and then Kokoamos!! It's gonna get wild. We are going to a club here in V-Beach called Avanti, where we are VIP! Yeah I got the hook up--Thanks Nick!! It's going to be super cold tomorrow night but I'm gonna have on a cute new outfit, new shoes, new make up and new jewelry. I'm just trying to live it up here until I have to move away from all my friends. Still no word on exactly where yet but it's fo' so Florida.

The house went on the market last Thrusday and people came to see it Saturday. We busted our humps to get it cleanned up and ready to be shown. They liked it and are supposed to come back this weekend. My dad was over here all week finishing up little things that needed to be fixed. Now it's a wait and see game.

Audrey is doing great...we're working on the whole potty stuff. She's a smart girl and I know she'll get it SOMEDAY!! She can spell her name, count, she knows her colors, and is getting a hair cut tomorrow. I'll post pics promise. Time to get the wild one down for bed...

Sad to say...No Snow!!

So yesterday was a big bust, no snow. I watched the weather radar all day and the snow just neve made it to us. The band of cold weather and snow, would cross over to Virginia from North Carolina and dissapear. Needless to say I think everyone was upset that it never snowed. All the public and private schools were closed yesterday in ANTICIPATION of the snow day...lucky kids got an extra day off. Today we're back to normal. It's off to work I go on the hump day...

Let it Snow!!

At least that's what I'm praying for today! It's supposed to snow anywhere from 1-3 inches here in Virginia Beach today. It's so exciting, to bad it's a Tuesday and we all have to work. Public schools are closed today for the "snow day" but the bases are still open there for Audrey still goes to school. I'm hoping for a half day; ah, that would be nice. If we do get some snow I'll post pics for everyone to enjoy. Stay warm today and drive safe!!

Way behind

Ok, I know I'm so out of touch with the blogging world. I've been so busy with the holidays and getting ready to sell the house. Aghh, so please forgive me for being behind. Started the New Year off at home with some of my best pals. We played the Wii and had champagne at midnight. Of course Luke isn't home, he's still over seas defending our country. He's decided to become a recruiter so it's off to North Florida for us. We don't have an exact location yet, closer to the end of the month we should know. I'm just trying to enjoy my last few months in Va. Beach, and making the most of it. I've begun the de-clutterization and making the home back into a house so we can sell it. All my scrapbook stuff has been sealed and is going to be delivered to my parents for the time being. The movers aren't touching that or our TV...priceless items. I hope every one's New Year is off to a fantastic start! I'll try to do better with this blog thing.

NSD Event

wow, what a day NSD...we had so much fun. It was great to meet Kris the QK's rep and see all the crazy ladies and man dressed up for our Hoe-down. To see pics of the event go to www.beachscrapbooks.com and check out the blog. There is a great slide show on there. We sold all of our QK's spring gift sets which is phenomenal. I of course purchased two, I'll be working with them soon. Keep watching the blog for a project made with one of them.

On a bit of a sad note, my friend Kate is heading back out on the open seas. She'll be returning to her cruise ship job Saturday. She's a great friend and super scrapbooker. She's lucky to do this job though, if I didn't have a husband or kid I think I'd like to try it. Cruising the seas and seeing exotic places and meeting new people. Some day I'll go one a cruise and see what it's all about.

Hump Day Project

Hey Everybody...I know I know I'm so terrible at keeping up with this blog. I've been outrageously busy. Audrey is getting ready to turn two so I've been working on birthday invitations and projects for the store. Here's the Hump Day Happy Hour project...Linda is being kind enough to teach it for me this week; since I have to work at the doctors office. Hope you like it....I found a layout on the Quickutz website that featured Florida, but I thought heck we live at the beach why not do it for us. So here's the finished project. Lions and Tiger and Bears Oh My!

Thats right folks we went to the Circus today. Oh man it was soo much fun. I loved every minute of it. We got there early to see the animals, that was neat. The elephants are huge. We got to walk around on the floor and meet some clowns and dance a little. Audrey was a dancin fool. She was just shakin all over the place. I bought her a stuffed elephant that I believe is going to be called Emmit. It was a great day. We just wish Luke would of been here to go with us. That's the hardest part of the military is being away so much.

Wow...sorry I've been gone so long. Things have been crazy here at casa de Robinson. I've been working my tail off at the Dr's office, but it's not a complaint, I love it. Audrey is getting bigger and bigger every day. Luke is still home for a little while then he'll be heading off to Fallon, NV. for a work up.

We had our first "snow" fall over the weekend. We went out and played in it for a while which was fun. We made snowballs and threw them at Hank. He'd catch them in his mouth and chomp down on them.

I did some scrapping over the weekend. I'm making an alphabet book for Audrey, I punched out all the dies so I could start putting the book together. When it's all done I'll post some pics. I'm gearing up to teach my first class at the store since October. I'll put a little sneak peak on here in the next few days. But you can find all the details at beachscrapbooks.com

The down low...

So, it's been over a month since I've written anything on here. I guess that's what a full time job will do to ya. Speaking of job, I love it. I'm having a good time and I'm learning lots of new things. It's a total change from any jobs I've had before. Audrey is doing really well at "school." She doesn't cry when I leave her anymore which is nice; I think she really enjoys it.

Fall is officially among us but you'd never guessed by the weather...it's still hot. Where is the cool weather for pumpkin pickin' and hay ridin'. Last weekend was cool enough we went and did a little pumpkin pickin' at Hunt Club Farm. They have their fall festival going on right now, petting zoo, hay rides, pumpkins galore, and pony rides. Audrey got to ride her first pony, she did very good. We showed her where to hold on and boy she didn't let go. We walked around twice and for those of you who've ridden a horse you know what it feels like, but just imagine her bouncing all around from side to side. It was soo cute, we think she enjoyed it but don't know for sure because she didn't smile. I didn't get pictures of the momentous occasion because the camera battery died...urgh!

I will be teaching my last two classes at the scrapbook store for the rest of the year this month. I've decided to take a short leave of absence. I will still be working there, who could give up all the fantastic women who work and shop there. All I've taught for a year or more were basics and basics plus, even though they aren't difficult classes to teach I just am ready for a break. So, come and take them...Basics Plus-Tuesday Oct. 9 and Designing with Chipboard-Tuesday Oct. 23, both classes are at 6:30. Check out www.beachscrapbooks.com for a picture and description of each.

Jack Ingram

Sunday night we went down to the beach for a free concert, Jack Ingram. I know not many of you know who he is but I love him. He is a country artist that is great. We had so much fun, and I got to meet him after the concert. It totally rocked. I can't wait to scrapbook this page because I've got his autograph to put on the page.

I'm starting a new job on Monday so if I start to slack on the blog front I'm sorry. It's a full time job so I'll barely have enough time to see my baby girl during the day. I'm going to try and be proactive in keeping this up to date. Hope everyone had a rocking summer and has a fabulous fall. I know I'm looking forward to the cool weather. I love sweaters and comfy clothes.

Tennessee

We headed off to visit my parents this weekend for my dad's birthday. Got in yesterday afternoon and had a birthday dinner, yummy! Luke and I are sleeping in a tent, like camping, in my dad and mom's yard. We have an air mattress in the tent because I AM NOT sleeping on the ground. It was nice and cool last night, a bit clammy and every time Hank (our dog) moved or made a sound my eyes flew open and I just knew something was coming to get us; I was wrong, we were fine.

Today the girls went shopping, Hobby Lobby and Cropper's Corral (LSS). I only bought a few sheets of paper at Hobby Lobby. All the papers were older and I'd seen them. It was still lots of fun looking all around at the fun stuff. The LSS was fun too, I spent a few bucks and got some cute stuff. I got some camping paper for our tenting experience and some other girly papers. The boys went golfing and seemed to have fun. When they returned there was a small souvenir attached to the front grill, a sparrow flew right into it. My mom pulled it out with a paper towel and plastic bag, GO MOM!

We're heading out in the morning to go back to reality, blah no fun. I hope everyone is having a great weekend holla at ya later!

Summer

Well, summer is rolling to an end. It's been a busy one for my family. We've taken a few trips and been to the beach a few times. I've been scrapbooking, just not as much as I would like. I've been working really hard at the store too.

Audrey is growing up faster than I would like and I'm sure that's how my mom felt about me too. I'm constantly taking pictures and really want to scrapbook them but with a toddler it seems impossible. Last week I got to spend a few hours with my friends scrapbooking and I did three layouts before the creative juices just went bye-bye, so I packed up and headed home to a sleeping husband and daughter...

I don't know if everyone has heard of Memory Makers, but it's a great scrapbooking magazine and every year they host a contest to become one of the Memory Makers Masters 10 winners and 10 runners up. I decided to enter the contest late but I still completed what had to be done. All winners were supposed to be contacted between the 15th and the 21st well, tomorrow is the 21st and I haven't gotten any phone calls so I'm just going to start creating for next year. For those of you who made it congrats, and I can't wait to see your work in the magazine! Next year I'd also like to try for Scrapbooker of the year from Creating Keepsakes, that's a huge honor. It's also a lot of work getting ready for it too.

Woo Hoo!! Beach Scrapbooks is now officially open. I've been working for a LSS for over two years and about a month ago the owner decided to sell one of the locations. As of today the location that I work at has been sold and has a new name so, if you're ever in Virginia Beach and looking for a great scrapbook store, there's a new one in town. Everyone at the store is soo excited about the new and upcoming changes, things are going to be great. The new owners are heading to Chicago tomorrow for the summer CHA '07 show. Which means tons of new product in the next few months and a brand new look for the good ole store.

Hey everyone. It has been a long time since I posted an entry. Summer just keeps you so busy. I've been on vacation twice already, and that really wipes you out. The good news is I've taken tons of pics which I will get to scrapbook soon I hope. I'm getting thing together to enter the Memory Makers Master '08 contest. I have to submit a total of 5 layouts. I'm working hard on those.

My friend Stefanie is in town this week and we're going to the beach today. We cooked out last night and it was super yummy. Yesterday afternoon we went and saw Harry Potter 5, GREAT MOVIE!!! I highly recommend seeing it and getting caught up on all the books before this Saturday when book # 7 is released. I'd love to hear your comments about the movie if you've seen it.

Digital Page

Hey everyone! I made my first ever digital layout tonight. I used the free July kit from Creating Keepsakes, Pink Lemonade. It wasn't as hard as I thought it would be. I think it's pretty cute too.

We had a great trip last week and visited so many family members, I can't even remember all their names. Audrey was such a good girl she played with all the kiddies and loved on everyone. It was so crazy there that my baby girl didn't want to even stop to eat. Our little cabin was adorable and just right, it even had a hot tub, Oh Yeah. So we relaxed in it after our long drive Friday. Audrey loved it because she could float around and still touch the bottom.

Our Road Trip

Audrey and I left yesterday to embark on our mini vacation to Missouri for the Brown family reunion. First stop North Carolina, they had a mini welcome sign that I had Audrey stand in front of and she just smiled. We walked Hank and just played at the rest area for a little while; then it was back into the car. Whew, Audrey was not happy. She finally fell asleep and it was peace in the car until we got to Mamaw and Papaw's house. When we got there she was so ready to get out of the car, she played outside and wondered around all of the big property in Tennessee. We got up this morning and went shopping, one of our favorite things to do with Mamaw. I of course went to the local scrap book store and spent my fair share of money. They had some darn cute paper from Dream Street Papers and My Mind's Eye that I have never seen. Tomorrow we head to Missouri, via Memphis, TN. we will be spending the night there and off to Lake Pomme de Terre (not sure of the spelling) for the reunion weekend.

Outside the box

I have stepped outside my creative box to complete this layout. It was my personal challenge to work with one photo to create a single 12 x 12 layout, that looked good. It took some time and a few scary sketches of my very own, but I did it. I completed a single layout, which makes number 3 in 7 years of scrapbooking. I worked long and hard on this layout last night after the wee one went to bed. I thought it was complete so I left it out for the hubby to inspect, my biggest critic, he didn't like the title but I didn't change it. He thought it should be Pure Chillin' because of her hand...ha I don't think so! I did add a few tweeks that weren't there last night and now I'm soo in love with this layout. I hope ya'll enjoy it as much as I do...let me know what you think!

My First Entry

Hello world wide web...ha ha! I have always wanted to have a website/blog, but never had the courage to make one. I do now! Nothing too exciting happens in my life but I'm a scrapbooker and I think us scrapbookers need to share our scrappin knowledge with each other. I submitted my first layouts to Creating Keepsakes yesterday! This is one of the two I sent int. It's from my daughter's first birthday party. I had the help of my wonderful friend Tiffany. She showed me how to use photoshop and make my pages look good. I'm not scared of it anymore. I'm hoping to hear back from them, I'll keep ya'll posted.
